Notice is hereby given that the Annual Election for the Office of Commissioner of the South Huntington Water District will be held at the Administration Building of the South Huntington Water District, 75 Fifth Avenue South, Huntington Station, New York and at 
the King of Kings Evangelical Lutheran Church, (Ante-Room), 2601 New York Avenue, Melville, New York on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, for the purpose of electing one (1) Commissioner for a term of three (3) years. The polls will be open from 3:00 P.M. to 
9:00 P.M.  To be eligible to vote in the election, you must be a currently registered voter with the Suffolk County Board of Elections and you must have resided in the Water 
District for a minimum of (30) days prior to this election.

INSTALLATION OF WATER MAIN & APPURTENANCES

   CLEAR CREEK AT MELVILLE SUBDIVISION

will be received by the BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS of the SOUTH HUNTINGTON WATER DISTRICT,at the office of the Board at the Water District, 75 Fifth Avenue South, Huntington Station, New York 11746, until 2:00PM prevailing time, on Thursday November 30, 2017at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

 

 Information for Bidders ,Proposal, Specifications and Contract Forms may be obtained in electronic form at the office of the H2M architects + engineers, 538 Broad Hollow Road, 4th Floor East, Melville, New York 11747, on or after Thursday, November 16, 2017.A deposit of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) made payable to H2M architects +engineers is required for each disc containing the documents, which will be refunded to bidders who return the original disc within ten (10) days of bid opening in good condition; other deposits will not be refunded. Only plan holders who have registered and paid for their deposit are eligible to submit bids.

 

 Each bid must be on the form furnished by the Board of Commissioners and must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check payable to "Board of Water Commissioners" ,in an amount of at least five (5%) percent of the total amount of the bid, said security to be forfeited to the Water District as liquidated damages in case of failure of the successful bidder to enter into a contract for the execution of the work within ten(10)days after written notice from the Board to do so has been mailed to the bidder's address as stated in its proposal.

 

The Board reserves the right to waive any informality in, to reject any or all bids, or to award the contract to such bidder who in its judgment submits the bid with the lowest prices and best schedule for completion of construction.

The South Huntington Water District is pleased to propose its Budget for the fiscal year 2018.  The District is committed 
to providing the best quality water at the lowest possible cost.  In the sprite of that mission, this budget will once again
 come in under the State mandated 2% tax cap.  The Public Hearing for the proposed budget will take place at the

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the South Huntington Water
 District has scheduled a public hearing to be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 8:30 A.M. at
 the South Huntington Water District Office, 75 Fifth Avenue South, Huntington Station,
 New York to consider the following matters:

 

Comments on the proposed budget for the District for fiscal year January 1, 2018 through 
December 31, 2018, as required by the applicable provisions of the New York State Town Law.

 

The enactment of a Resolution effectuating changes to the tax rate and water
rates of the South Huntington Water District, effective January 1, 2018

 

The enactment of a Resolution authorizing re-allocation of funds from the Water Quality Reserve 
Fund to the Capital Fund for Project No. 17-5, Wallace Court Water Main Replacement.

 

A copy of the proposed 2018 budget is available on the Districtís website and a copy can
 be viewed at the District offices during regular business hours. Proposed changes to the
 tax rate and water rates are posted on the Districtís website, and copies of the proposals
                            can be viewed at the District offices during regular business hours.
