The South Huntington Water District Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce that the District has recently been awarded an additional $715,000 grant from New York State. This additional grant is on top of the $3.0 million grant the District received in September 2018. The combined $3.715 million is being used to offset the cost of constructing a new state-of-the-art water treatment system at Plant No. 10 on Whitson Road in Huntington Station.

The additional grant will be used to reduce the cost that the residents of our District will need to pay for the needed water treatment system. The District expects the construction of this new treatment system to start by the end of 2020 and be in service by 2021.
