Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the South Huntington Water District has scheduled a public hearing to be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at 8:30 A.M. at the South Huntington Water District Office, 75 Fifth Avenue South, Huntington Station, New York to consider the following matters:

Comments on the proposed budget for the District for fiscal year January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019, as required by the applicable provisions of the New York State Town Law.

The enactment of a Resolution effectuating changes to the tax rate and water rates of the South Huntington Water District, effective January 1, 2019.

The enactment of a Resolution authorizing re-allocation of the Water Quality/System Construction Fund to the Capital Reserve Fund in the amount of $250,000.00 for the NYSDOT-Walt Whitman Bridge Widening Water Main Upgrades at L.I.E. North and South Service Roads.

The enactment of a resolution authorizing re-allocation of the Water Quality/System Construction Fund to the Capital Reserve Fund in the amount of $150,000.00 for the Hydrant Replacement Program.

A copy of the proposed 2019 budget, tax rate and water rates are available on the District’s website and copies can be viewed at the District offices during regular business hours.
