Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the South Huntington Water District has scheduled a public hearing to be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 8:30 A.M. at the South Huntington Water District Office, 75 Fifth Avenue South, Huntington Station, New York to consider the following matters:

Comments on the proposed budget for the District for fiscal year January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018, as required by the applicable provisions of the New York State Town Law.

The enactment of a Resolution effectuating changes to the tax rate and water rates of the South Huntington Water District, effective January 1, 2018

The enactment of a Resolution authorizing re-allocation of funds from the Water Quality Reserve Fund to the Capital Fund for Project No. 17-5, Wallace Court Water Main Replacement.

A copy of the proposed 2018 budget is available on the District’s website and a copy can be viewed at the District offices during regular business hours. Proposed changes to the tax rate and water rates are posted on the District’s website, and copies of the proposals can be viewed at the District offices during regular business hours.
